Mining Brighter Futures

When expertise, agility and innovation meet, we move forward

Yilgarn Iron is a privately owned Australian mining company with iron ore operations in Western Australia’s Yilgarn region. The company is managed by a team of experienced mining industry leaders.

Yilgarn Iron operates the historic iron ore assets of the Yilgarn region. Operationally, we use an agile resource management model, focused on optimising existing resources while exploring for the next generation of iron ore projects.

Yilgarn Iron operates both the Koolyanobbing and Carina rail-loops with direct access into the Port of Esperance. Leveraging this unique position within the region Yilgarn Iron seeks to grow its resource base and to expand its mining operations.

Our purpose is to unlock value through safe, responsible and profitable iron ore extraction while shaping a positive future for company, country and community.

Unlocking the value of the Yilgarn

Yilgarn Iron is part of the fabric of the community in the Yilgarn region. We are committed to being more than just a neighbour and operator; we seek to make an active contribution to the communities we work in. This means working closely with native title landholders and wider local communities to ensure our presence creates lasting, positive impacts.
